The lesson from last year was that coaching matters, not that pass rush doesn't.
The defense not being to stop the run played a HUGE role in our last three playoff losses. Remember that.

We had rushers but we let teams impose their will far too often in those big games. The pass rush didn’t even matter.

Okafor was really good a few years ago before he got hurt. Seems like he has never been the same since. Decent signing.

Exactly. Saints front seven was no joke last season. Shut running games down completely. Just the type of guy we need.

So far we lost 3 guys which freed up $40m in cap.

We've added 4 players on D for about $25m. Think when all is said and done we will have gotten at least 6 players on defense for the price of 3. Not bad.

Yeah... when you hope a guy gets hurt so you can "win" a message board argument you should really evaluate your life and your priorities.

It's crazy how they bash Ford when almost EVERY free agent we've signed has recently had some major injury and has missed time.

I'm excited about this. Saints had a better defense than the Chiefs.

Then again 31 other teams had a better defense than the Chiefs..

This defense is not purely reliant on winning one on ones like Sutton’s. They’re going to bring pressure in all sorts of different ways. And maybe stop the ****ing run, another factor that cost them in the AFCCG.
His sack total that year was inflated by a couple crazy games. It was a glimpse of hope.
