I really wonder how much the issue is figuring out what to do with tyreek. Now that the possibility is back that we may extend tyreek long term, we have to figure out the best way to structure two very big long term deals together.

They aren't going to extend Hill this offseason.. just forget about it.

Of course, they may need to tag him next season though.

That won't help his efforts to improve on that 3.3 YPC average he had last season.

As long as most of his runs/handoffs are coming on 3rd & 2, 4th & 1, etc. there will be zero shits given.

They need a short yardage back and he can be it if he wants to be.

this is just the way the NFL does contracts. The only thing your get is guaranteed money. Jones blows out a knee in week 2, he doesnt get paid. A reasonable view. The Chiefs paid Houston best in the league money, hurt his knee was just average from that point on.

It’s not personal, it’s business.

Well going from one of the worst offenses in the league to one of the best should certainly help that.

Cleveland was the #13th ranked offense last year.

Duke Johnson and Nick Chubb averaged 5 YPC in that same offense last year. Why couldn’t Carlos Hyde?

I’m talking about the Jaguars.

That Browns offense didn’t really get rolling till he was gone either.

Again, I was talking about the Jags. He played 5 games with the Browns, two of which were before Mayfield was starting.

I’m not saying Hyde’s good by any means, but he wasn’t in the best situation last year, or even for last couple of years since the 49ers were awful too.

Damien Williams averaged under 4 YPC for every season of his career before he came to KC and averaged over 5.

But forgive me for thinking Hyde could possibly improve his significantly in this offense
