*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

Long story short, WBF.
Juju was good early. But after his knee got wonky he definitely lost a step or 9. He wasn’t the same player in the Super Bowl as he was in September.

Nonetheless, Mahomes made it work with a diminished player.

He doesn't really have a go-to veteran receiver. He's not comfortable. When it's man it's anybody's guess as to who will get open.

I think that's part of the problem.

His numbers are substantially better vs man this year.

No we don't. You can say he's not firing when guys are "NFL open" but to act like players are just all by themselves like Juju was on that play all the time and Mahomes doesn't see them is just false. He hasn't been anywhere near that bad.

Make sure you post this in the WRs suck thread where the shitty separation grades just got updated. LOL at not wanting to just concede the receivers are the problem, not Mahomes. If people would stop blaming Mahomes we could all just move on.

Well yeah, but do the numbers represent something tangible, or are they just bullshit arbitrary "grades"?

Well given that Hopkins is his 'ideal type' and the guy he insists Rice isn't, the fact that the 'WRs suck' thread and the shitty separation grades you're citing show that Rice has actually been BETTER than Hopkins ain't gonna do him many favors.

And again, this isn't Mahomes vs. any other QB in football. It's Mahomes of '23 vs. Mahomes of '22.

I just don't know how you can't see how obvious the difference is.
