Not sure why they also would get rid of vetern Wr if your going with a rookie QB with minimum salary. To me they have been clearing the way to bring in a rookie Wr and freeing up money to spend on the dee.

I agree. I would add that you can win a Super Bowl without a franchise QB as the Ravens showed with Trent Dilfer, but you can't sustain success without one.

If you gave Harbaugh truth serum, he’d admit to at least considering that move.

There are legit questions if Harbaugh and his old school philosophy/style can work with Suckbert… and meanwhile the QB who Harbaugh just won a NC with is available.

If the Chargers trade away the right to take a top 5 player to draft in the teens and 20's they're ****in dumb.

I think some of you guys need to re-evaluate J.J McCarthy.

I did my QB evals w/o any outside influence. I didn't listen to or ready anyone eles's opinion and came away with McCarthy as the 3rd best QB in this draft.

Then i start hearing things about McCarthy's stock heating up post-combine etc. Sounds to me like actual scouts really do like him.

And if Sean Payton likes him as much as people speculate, then i'm even more sure of myself. Sean, Reid and Arians were the coaches hot for Mahomes, so they know wtf they're looking at.

McCarthy has some good polish to him, looks like a very pro-level skillset.

I liked the way JJ was interacting with players at the combine. He was clearly one of the guys. That stuff matters.

Haven't watched any tape.

I feel like a lot of fans came into this process with pre-conceived feelings/hate for McCarthy. For what reason, i have no idea.

It's like they heard this and heard that and now those tinted glasses are on when they watch/talk about McCarthy.

Imma go see what Chris Simms says about them. I haven't listened to his pods since the SB.

I'm still a tad bit skeptical, but I think it happens this time. The league seems to be genuinely high on McCarthy.

He was a game manager at Michigan.

Now maybe his physical skill set, intangibles, etc. project well in the NFL… but he looks like a bigger version of Stetson Bennett.

I don't think McCarthy goes that high. Dude is Mac Jones and EVERYONE had Mac Jones going to the 49ers.

Interesting. Simms has Nix and Pennix ahead of both McCarthy and Maye.

It's a supply/demand issue now. You've got at least three teams in the 11-19 range who need a guy and can't afford to sit back and see if they fall.

The trade ups will make it happen and the Giants would take one of the top 4 too.
