Yeah I thought he just turned I to the image of the person. I didn't think he actually got all the powers of that person.

This episode was ****ing bananas. Can't believe they went there. I was skeptical going in, but this has more than exceeded my expectations. I'm not usually a cartoon/animated guy, but if it is done well (Spiderverse, ATLA, this) I'll def watch it.

One thing that I just don't get is why everyone is like "Magneto is a huge piece of shit for doing what he did to the EMF of earth! We have to stop him!"

Bro, y'all were absolutely ****ing dead if he didn't do what he did. Like it was the end of the road for pretty much every mutant. Magneto saved all of their asses and their first thought is "wtf, dude?"

Another thing that Im not understanding is why did cyclops decide to blast Xavier? All he had to do is be like "hey bud now that you have control of all this dudes faculties let's hold off on this whole reversing thing until the other team has had more time. Jean showed some bad shit going down."

I realize that, but instead of blasting the professor he could have told him to not turn the electricity on and give them more time. Xavier had complete control over Magneto, so he was no longer a threat.

In all seriousness, I do love having him around just to be able to get some different looks each week. From memory, we’ve seen Colossus, Lady Deathstrike, Quicksilver and Hulk from Morph alone. That’s pretty awesome.

You always have to keep the X-Men’s end goal in mind. They want peace between humans and mutants. They know the ramifications of Magneto’s action will make that peace nearly impossible. They said he killed thousands at least.

I was trying to think of how he killed anyone with what he did, but I guess people need electricity when hooked up to life support stuff like that, but what other option did he have? Everyone was going to die if he didn't do what he did.

don't forget about planes falling out of the air, hospitals without power, car crashes etc.

And while I agree he had no options as far as saving all mutants, the issue is that he will refuse to fix things. Even if bastion was taken out magneto would refuse to save humanity.

Xaviers view point is that attempted genocide isn't the path to take after an attempted genocide.

Loved Bastion and how demented and unstoppable he came off. Not quite sure how all the XMen can't beat him but then a Sentinel's foot can hold him down. Also if you're going to showcase Iron Man and the Avengers in this episode as, "Guess what kids?!?" and then do essentially Avengers Age of Ultron with Asteroid M instead of Sokovia at the end, why wasn't Iron Man helping in the sky? I get why Daredevil, Captain America and Silver Samurai were just fighting crime on the ground, but are you telling me Tony Stark with all his knowledge of Project Magneto wouldn't understand that he may be needed should the missles not do the job and the Asteroid comes back down on planet Earth that he wouldn't have been on the bottom end with Storm, Rogue and Jean Grey trying to help in some way? I'm not sure why they decided to split the team into different time periods with the gravity core as well, do we need to see the En Saben Nur origin story for Apocalypse when he's already existed in this universe in earlier seasons? I know the comics has the possibility of Wolverine joining him to get his adamantium back, which is likely where they're going with it, but no mention of Onslaught at all, no tease really, Xavier doesn't go ape shit on Magento, just talks to him in his mind for the whole episode, doesn't bottle Magneto's hatred into himself like in the comics. So if you did this, it's going to be really weird pulling Onslaught out and saying, "Remember the finale from last season? We didn't show you, but this entity was created when Xavier did that." Overall Bastion, great, Cyclops, great, Jean Grey Phoenix, kinda outta nowhere and then leaves shortly after it saves her and the team for plot armor sakes. Sucks we have to wait until late 2025 to get the next season.
