Hey, who goes streaking by at the very top of that play? Does it look like anyone picked him up? A CB or somthing? I am not sure but I bet the all 22 would show how open of a look that is.

They dropped eight so surely there was a safety or two in deep coverage to prevent him from taking the top off.

But the all-22 won't save him in this case. He gets happy feet and bails from a perfectly good pocket AT LEAST 2 seconds sooner than he should have. 2 additional seconds for a Hill or Kelce makes a world of difference.

After watching that in depth interview of him a few weeks ago, i honestly don't think he has the mental makeup...the fortitude.

I mean, he's seems like a great dude. Cool person. But he also seemed depressed. He seemed...defeated. Passive. Like he lacks confidence in himself.

Just playing internet psychologist here, but i think he has a lot of self doubt and he's his own worst enemy.

My theory is that they know Alex won't force a throw into a tight window and eventually get happy feet of his own accord.

I'll be keeping an eye on that sort of thing over these next several weeks.
Exactly the opposite of what SHOULD happen and does happen to our defense.
Alex looks has time and panics. Opposing qbs hang in there because because no one can cover for that long and make plays. Same situation different response.

Mahomes buys time until someone gets open.
Smith shits his pants and either throws an incomplete pass or runs for 1-2 yards.

This ol is fine we need depth like everyone does. Mahomes is going to help the run blocking so much. An actual downfield threat keeping the defense honest. When was the last time that happened Green prob.

Why can't people see this? Even the defense, who has carried his sorry ass for 4 years, will be energized.
