PMII Interceptions Myth

Quick question: Why is the narrative always "yeah Mahomes may throw a couple a picks a game..."?

Looking over his numbers the past few years, at the very worst he's 8 passes/game more likely to throw a pick than Alex.

Eight pass difference warrants the narrative he's just throwing shit up anywhere and everywhere he can, rather than being the game manager Alex is?

Mahomes
2016 at Texas Tech
Attempts: 591
Interceptions: 10

Interception Rate: 59.1 passes/INT

Mahomes
2017 (Preseason)
Attempts: 54
Interceptions: 0

Interception Rate: 0

Alex
2015
Attempts: 470
Interceptions: 7
Interception Rate: 67.14 passes/INT

Alex
2016
Attempts: 489
Interceptions: 8

Interception Rate: 61.13 passes/INT

He's got a HUGE arm, threw for 5000 yards, yet I don't see how this whole narrative where he is going to be causing turnovers is coming from?

I have a feeling Mahomes is going to be more Rodgers than Favre, as far as gunslingers go.
