*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

Is this team the same as any of those previous teams? How many players and coaches are on this team that were on those teams? Was Mahomes on those teams? Kelce? Hill? Hardman? Was Spagnuolo the DC for those teams?

He always spouts the most meaningless of stats to make his weak points.

It's going to be great to see how he deflects and waffles next week after the Chiefs win this game. Nick should bring him a boiled crow to eat on the show next week.

His job is to play the foil to Nick - who is annoying me with this "The Kansas City Chiefs are going to win the Super Bowl" crap.

Best chance out of 4 teams does not equal lock and he knows that. He's just playing for ratings. Even if we lose then he'll get pilloried and that will be good exposure.

Mangini: "I don't think spotting the other team 24 points is a winning formula". Over and over and over and over.

No shit Sherlock.

If that's all he could think of to say you can tell he's just grasping because that's his role.

Not sure if was posted on here but on Speak for Yourself you heard two of the most ridiculous answers posed to the question of “did Mahomes cement himself as the best player in the NFL?”

Wiley, who is usually not committed to a certain idea so much said Jackson still is the best player in the league. First of all he couldn’t explain why he overtook it from Mahomes in the first place but went on to say the playoff performances don’t matter so it’s still Jackson. Schlereth said he can’t say a QB is the best football player because they rely on so many other players. Both were just laughable. I have no idea how Whitlock and Gonzalez especially stayed calm.

In real time that looks like an easy pitch/catch. As it turns out, it's damn near as spectacular as any of the deep throws he's made.

Kid's just a savant.

These are the plays that don’t jump out in the game as being crazy good that we see later whereas other fans and media members don’t see that are really what make him by far the best player in the league and already one of the best ever. Nobody else realizes just how many impossible things he does I’m every game.

Stumbled on a video of the 2017 playoff collapse against Tennessee. This was right after watching highlights of the Texans game last weekend. When you watch videos back to back of Patrick and Alex, it's pretty shocking to see the difference in velocity. He's just a different breed of QB.
