So Intel might wanna take some notice of AMD
https://www.theverge.com/2019/6/10/1...cessor-e3-2019
16-core, 32-thread $750 Ryzen 9 3950X processor, which — with its 3.5GHz base clock, 4.7GHz boost clock, a tremendous 72MB of cache and an unheard-of 105W TDP Yea Intel take notice that is a real competitor that just passed you. |

AMD did not just passed them, they leapfrogged them and everything i gather is that Intel cant hit back until at least middle of 2020, but also by then AMD will be further down the road. AMD's top processor and supposedly better then intel's 1100 dollar processor for 499!
This is just great for the consumer! about time AMD started punching back! |

AMD covered a lot of ground in the ryzen era, after being a joke for the better part of a decade.

Competition is great. I wouldn't be crowning them just yet though.

its not about crowning anyone, its about competition, we can not get something on par or better then the other guys for 600 cheaper. Thats a ****ing win for the consumer. Thats a huge win! As long as they can compare at a cheaper price, then lets do it!

When I was doing research for a 13” power laptop, the Ryzen intrigued me.
When I read about the heating and driver issues I stayed away and stuck with Intel. |

I remember when AMD was better back in the early 90's, back when most things were soldered on and you didn't really have all the freedom to build like you do now. Still they've been mostly hot air on processors and video cards as far as competing until Ryzen came along.

AMD was always the overheating nightmare. Maybe I'll try them out again.

yeah, the new Ryzen's are low power consumption and even better with the 3rd gen chip.
