My Projected AFC QB Landscape by 2020
AFC East
Patriots - Brady? Bills - Allen Jets - Darnold Dolphins - ??? AFC South Titans - Mariota Texans - Watson Jaguars - ??? Colts - Luck? AFC North Steelers - Rudolph Ravens - Jackson Browns - Mayfield Bengals - ??? AFC West Chiefs Mahomes Broncos - Lynch? Raiders - Carr Chargers - Rivers? I can't count Brady out barring a major injury but seems like he's approaching retirement sooner rather than later. I think either Big Ben retires or the Steelers cut ties and move forward with Rudolph. I have no idea who will be under center for the Fins, Jags or Bengals by then. I think Elway gives Lynch another shot but could be wrong. Chargers might possibly go on a couple of deep playoff runs that reinvigorates Rivers but it could go the other way with failed seasons prompting his farewell to the game. Obviously, Luck and that shoulder are a question mark for the Colts. Thoughts? |

Rivers and Brady will both be retired by 2020. My bet is that Lynch is as well, but that is unsure.

I can't see Brady having 3 more seasons at his age. Rivers either. And I'm really doubtful that Lynch is still a Donk by 2020. That would be his 5th year, and at this point, I don't see ElFraud picking up the 5th year option. And am I the only one that thinks that Lamar Jackson has too small of a frame to be an NFL quarterback? I don't know much about him really. But when I saw him after he got drafted, he looked like a high school kid to me.

1. Who gives a shit about 2020, it's 2018 let's worry about this year FIRST
2. What the **** does it matter? 3. What value does this info provide? 4. QB's fall apart like tin cans so this is a waste of time. I'm always surprised by these Nostradamus inspired threads. Are you hoping to look back at this post in 2020 and tell everyone, "SEE WHAT I PREDICTED!" |

I’m going to be a little nicer than my buddy scho but I will say it’s tough to make a statement like “My projected AFC QB landscape by 2020” and then put question marks on about half the teams.

Rivers will retire. Lynch will not be in the league as a starter. Don't see Rudolf as a permanent solution for the Steelers after Big Ben.

It’s not really a projection if it’s filled with a bunch of question marks.

As a Ravens fan I keep my eye on the Redskins. I noticed no NFC, do you think Alex will still be in Washington? Dan Snyder changes quarterbacks and coaches like changing shirts. I think Smith will win some games, he always does good during the regular season, so Snyder might keep him around for a while. Since he's in the NFC are you still pulling for Alex. After Billick ran off Trent Dilfer I still always wanted him to win, unless of course they were playing the Ravens.
