I think they wanted another DT even before the Jones situation. Plus, Shelton was just cut.

Tell me anything you actually know about this guy other than he came from the Raiders. I can't wait for your "real conversation".

Also the Chiefs seem to not be comfortable at all with Danny Shelton being anything more than a vet that sits on the PS as a just in case all year, the idea of him playing meaningful snaps doesn't seem to jive with them at all.

Well the Raiders front office have been turning over that roster fairly quickly.

The Raiders haven't had a decent DT since Seymour.

Meaning in the terms of "yeah, you do whatever you gotta do and we'll do the same".

#1 Its not really my point. Thanks to Jones KC is making this deal. Thats my biggest frustration. So its not as much the deal as the why.

#2 If the guy is anything special he would not be dealt by the Raiders to a division opponent.

We weren't exactly stacked at the position even WITH Jones. This guy was a 2022 4th round pick, so we have him on his rookie contract for 3 years. I know nothing about him, but was expecting us to make some moves to help the position. Thought we'd be settling for guys at the cutdown.
