Was Gunn attacking with those tweets, or just trying too hard to make a joke (the tweet about Vegas, Rita Rudner, and Ed Hardy shirts was hilarious, though)? Fully agree that online bullying is a bigger problem than most people want to admit, but again, context. People need to realize that there is literally no way to prevent every single body from getting their feelings hurt from other people shooting off their mouths, unless you want to adapt controlled speech outlined by some governing body, and you can see for yourself how well that's working out for England. Disney can hire and fire whomever they want, but we're sliding up against constitutional issues here.

He should have no credibility to question anyone’s tweets. Shouldn’t even be allowed on social media. He incited violence. A guy actually pulled a gun in the pizza place and demanded the kids in the sex ring be let go.

No one needs credibility to assert demonstrable facts.

All that said, Gunn said some really, really ****ed up shit over and over and over. Either he's neck deep in this NXIVM madness, or he thinks he's way more funny than he really is when he's drunk/stoned tweeting. Hopefully the latter.

Eh, I'm not gonna cry. But there's a bug difference between another retread show being brought back from Noonereallycaresville. And characters being brought off of the page and onto the screen. Plus we're a few movies in, and now the guy that had the vision that was working is now out. But maybe DC can hire him to turn their ship around

This has nothing to do with trolling or harassment.

This is about a family friendly company firing someone because he made awful pedophile jokes before they had even hired him.

I personally find pedo jokes offensive, but that doesn't mean they're inherently offensive. The fact that he was engaging with someone convicted of child pornography doesn't help his case in the slightest.
