I love Good & Plenty. Unfortunately it's just coated black licorice and that contains glycyrrhizin, which is a compound and gives it the sweet flavor. Eating too much glycyrrhizin for two weeks or more can send you to the hospital with high blood pressure and irregular heartbeat. For this reason, I've had to give up Good & Plenty since I'm already on blood pressure medicine and blood thinner for a heart stent. I've switched to red licorice, and actually pretty much gotten away from all candy since I turn 69 next month and trying to eat healthy. Give me a box of Good & Plenty and it will be gone in no time.
