Came home to see the Sleep 10k pressing of The Sciences waiting for me in the mail that I ordered from Third Man. I'll use that one to play while I take pics of my 1k press to post on social media. Just kidding, sort of.
I also have an old timer in my family sending me their collection of 45's in batches. Yesterday I got a bunch of Capitol box sets and Decca Records releases from the 1940-50's. Mostly mood/background music like Jackie Gleason - Music For PIIHB and Harry Owens - Songs Of Hawaii. Pretty excited to go through them this weekend. I was back in KC last weekend and went to an impromptu Pamper the Madman show. They weren't my thing around KC at the time (mid-90's), but gat damn if they don't set it off live. They had that right mix of funk and 90s rock and Theresa is easily in the top 10 frontmen/women I've ever seen live. She's incredible, to this day. The youtube vids don't come close to doing them justice.
