Like you “I shouldn’t let the Chiefs affect my mood this much.” "I’m trying to get better at that." "After 50 years of failure, I’m trying not to take it personally." Sums up my sentiment exactly! I got pretty good about shrugging off the failure. Then came Mahomes the excitement built and I started to believe. Last night was a gut check. Hard to say exactly how the rest of this season will finally shake out, but you can rest assure that failure at some point is involved. I will spend another night or 2 of failing to sleep and being in a foul mood. We are always a few pieces short of being a complete team. Hard not to get down on the franchise. We are like jilted lovers who just can't quit the one who breaks our hearts! |

I get that last night sucked, but how many fanbases wouldn't sign up for the Chiefs' future right now?

BUT, that's only if Bob Sutton is gone. As bad as the defensive playoff collapses have been, it will be even worse to have the terrible Bob Sutton defense undermine what Mahomes Magic can achieve. |

It was a would class choke job, they looked like they're already in full playoff form. This is indeed a 2003 2.0 team. Unfortunately, with this sketchy defense, they don't have a shot to make it deep into the playoffs. We will need to upgrade the defense in the draft, along with upgrading the fat boys on the OL.

Great read.
Succinct description and great allegories. Garbage day. Garbage game. Garbage everything. I’ve stayed off for the most part. Kept logging on to read this and I’m glad I did. |

Hard to be optimistic after watching that play out last night, becasue as George said - we know the ending all too well.
- Tired of the penalties. - The run game has no creativity whatsoever. Too much single back inside zone/read option and outside zone. First time they run Power, Williams goes for 11 yards. go figure. - The secondary is a hot mess in zone, and Sutton calls man too often on 3rd and long when the defense needs off the field. The man has no feel for playcalling. - O-line depth tested shows chinks in the armor. - Why the timeout at 8 seconds Andy? Way to let them off the hook - the Chargers were able get into the right play for the TD and AGAIN on the 2 point convert. Never give Sutton a timeout again. Waste. Like he will out-scheme anyone..... -Sad sack Chiefs. Berry cheerleading when he should be playing. Another season of crushed hopes and dreams is almost over. |
