Tony Gonzalez also compared Alex Smith to Aaron Rodgers. Who would of thought that the QB on our roster that resembled Rodgers wasn't Mahomes!

Aaron Rodgers has become a game managing, check down artist with a noodle arm who can't put his team on his back and carry them through the playoffs?

If Gonzalez is comparing Alex to Rodgers who's a surefire Hofer he's absolutely being a homer company guy.

Nevertheless all this hype will drive up the price of the higher draft pick the Chiefs will trade Alex for

They were also compared a lot before their draft, 2005, because of their similarities.

Cowherd has the Chiefs #1 in his power poll. NFLN has the Chiefs #1 in their rankings.
Whitlock says they are the best team & it was him that was comparing Smith to Rodgers. Tony picked the Raiders in preseason but has now changed to the Chiefs.

It's insane. I guess that's what beating the Pats in Foxboro on their banner night does.

I don't know why people hate on him here. He has gone to bat for the Chief fans over and over, was 100% right about Pioli when everyone was blowing him, donated a lot of money to Save Our Chiefs, and still brings interesting perspectives to many subjects.

I've met him.

He's pretty cool.

He's earned that gig.

I enjoy listening to him, and his reasoning is usually well thought-out, even if I don't agree with him all the time.

He likes to party, too. I respect that.

First negative article I had ever seen on the Chiefs was from him. I was such an unabashed homer and it was such a foreign perspective that I wrote him and the Star a letter to which he actually responded. It had to be close to 20 years ago.

Oh how times have changed.
