Gale can be a guy's name (it's my dad's name, in fact). The female spellings would be Gail, Gayle, etc. I've seen Gale twice in my life, and both were/are male.

That's why I put it in there, because it's a guy's name and a girl's...just with different spellings. All those names I posted are both male and female.
