I've never been to either, so I'd recommend taking the place that offers more days.
Congratulations on the award! That's awesome. |

If you want to feel like you can roam around the island safely then aruba. If you want to stay on an all inclusive (and not be told that you're really in a compound surrounded by guards carrying rifles on the rooftops protecting you from being kidnapped) then go to punta Cana. The all inclusives in the D.R. are some of the best tho

If you are a cigar guy, then Punta Cana. For everything else, there’s Aruba.

Maybe it’s because of the times of year I went to Aruba. February 2004 and February 2005 unknowingly during a)their Madris gras and b) Aruba’s something year anniversary. The locals were annoying as hell.
The beer balagy (sp) is garbage. I like presidente much better |

Been to Aruba a half dozen times. Wonderful place and the beach areas around the Ritz-Carlton are fantabulous. The 4-wheel jeep tour (ABC Tours) is mucho fun. No worry about hurricanes, they track north of Aruba and you always have a wind so you don't fry on the beach

Went to Aruba with my wife for our 25th. Best beach vacation ever, including Hawaii. If I won the lottery, I would seriously consider moving there. Wonderful island, friendly people, very safe.
