It’s a fine deal that protects the team from having to potentially overspend dramatically if Brissett breaks out this year.

Brissett has basically one season starting under his belt. A season in which he was sacked 52 times on a 4-11 team and he still didn’t play awfully.

3,098 yards, 60% completions, 13 tds, 7 ints, 82 qb rating.

He’ll be better than that this year. How much better is the question.
