I still don't get why "pay him and build your defense around Jones, McDuffie and Sneed for the next three years" is off the table.

This better be about his knee and only his knee.

It's awfully condescending to assume people don't know how comp picks work just because they disagree with you about them. I replied to you on this the other day and you conveniently ignored it, so to reiterate: it's unlikely we're making any big free agent moves next year. We'll be lucky to re-sign our own guys. And even if we did make a signing to offset Sneed, that offset would allow us to get a comp pick for someone like Trey Smith that we wouldn't otherwise get.

Basically I'd rather have one more year of Sneed and a (arguably) likely 3rd round comp pick in 2026 than trade him for a 3rd now.

No, I get that, and I'd be disappointed with the rumored compensation as well.

It just feels like if that's in fact legit, and the Chiefs take it as opposed to letting him play on the tag, there's more to this behind the scenes than we know.

wtf? Is this happening or not?

Are chiefs getting a world champ shut down corner, or getting draft revenue for moves, future stars, and freeing up space for FA, post June cuts?

I can’t wait to get a 3 peat chiefs boner…I just want to know which one I’m more excited about is all I ask.
