I'm not talking about one or two players. Look at their entire roster. Their top four players are all top 10 picks. Three of those players are top 5 picks. Bowen Byram will soon be joining them as another top 5 pick. They built their team through being really terrible many years ago. Maybe not planned that way, but that's the way it turned out.

I'll give Sakic credit for making good moves to supplement this roster. But he and Veach walked into completely different situations. They also built the roster in different ways. The similarity is they're both GMs of successful teams at the moment. There's many ways to skin a cat.

Bruins/Caps has been great, besides (or perhaps despite) the unfortunate existence of Craig Anderson.

Panthers/Lightning with 9-10k fans was really fun to watch last night... the crowd was really into it, felt like real playoff hockey.

And to the surprise of no one, the Wild and Knights gave us some bottom-of-the-barrel hockey...

Took the Avalanche ~5-6 minutes to get it going (and should have been down 1-0 at that point), but obviously got it going after that.... love watching this team, including that 14 year old kid who scored.

And the Avs come back and make a great play to stop a Blues goal.

Yeah, that was just as insane, especially since Graves is the one who gave up the puck along the wall.
