I almost pointed out how they showed Windu surviving a mile long fall on Coruscant in one of those early Clone Wars animated sequences but figured it would be a massive stretch to even assume he survived Palpatine's ULTIMATE POWER moment. But I don't think it would be out of the realm of possibility to assume they'd do it with their efforts to fan service on the various shows these days.

its science fiction. Think of all the stuff that’s happened previously. A Jedi, one of the best ever, can’t stop a fall before splatting? Come back as a Jedi ghost? Come on….. there’s money to be made in fan service.

Mace Windu being alive makes infinitely more sense than Reva surviving being impaled twice by Vader. At this point I think we can assume that anybody who wasn't completely beheaded in front of us like Jango Fett, is probably still alive.

We crossed that line when they brought back Darth Maul. Dude got cut in half at the torso before falling into a bottomless pit. Luke takes Palpatine's force lighting for a long time & recovers quickly. There's no way the short zap Windu took should have killed him. Not compared to getting cut in half at the waist.

I find it odd that Disney refuses to step into the future with their new Star Wars productions, with the exception of the abortions IIV->IX . Due to those failures we're stuck with prequels based on known characters that are extremely lazy and predictable.
Hell, I'd be fine if there was a something where they went waaay back in history, where we didn't have any initial connection with the characters, but no. Instead we get - Disney: "Here's a new show about a beloved character who you've seen die in a previous Star Wars production. Audience: Jeez Louise. Enough of that shit! Biden: Awww, C'mon man! Disney: But wait! There are 3 new characters you've never heard of" Audience: "Oooooooo" Disney: "They all die" Audience: "That's ****ing awesome!!!!11!!!!1!!!!!". |
