I wouldn't waste your time on Arthur Bryant's...shit has gone way downhill.
If you like whiskey, check out West Bottoms Whiskey Co downtown and do a tour. Good cocktails to have before/after. Tour takes about 30 minutes and includes a few pours of some of the stuff they are working on. |

If you want to visit the haunts of a famous whiskey drinker... it is Thomas Hart Benton House & Studio (he famously taught his pupil, Jackson Pollock to drink). Raise a toast to a 20th-century master! https://mostateparks.com/park/thomas...-historic-site |

City Market, there are lots of places to eat and drink. If you like museums, there is also a very nice riverboat museum there.

Crossroads. Hit up Updown & the breweries. Then take the streetcar and head down to P&L area or Zoo Bar a few blocks over if you don't want to deal with douchebags

BKS makes the best beer in KC. They are pretty hipster, so wouldn't judge you two making out. Being gay is so on trend these days

Definitely check out Missy B's. It's a biker bar, so wear lots of leather...
