after listening, makes me wonder if his second arrest motivated the prosecutor to charge a felony on the first gun charge even though the first offense was a "wobbler"

I think the tv news report I saw on a recent court date said that Frank Clark was not the only one charged with the March offense. If the security person was charged also, that should be reported more than it is.
Seems like the guest on the radio show does not know that the other guy may have been charged also. The guest is also mistaken that the NFL policy says Exempt list for any felony. Exempt list is used for suspected crimes involving violence or sexual assault. Illegal firearm possession is subject to personal conduct policy, but not necessarily would it be something that would be punished while case is pending. I don’t doubt that it’s a possibility, but I also don’t think it actually happens considering this is a victimless crime and Goodell has kind of chilled out the last few years.

I doubt that this is an exempt list case. There is no person mistreated and the alleged offense is not even a crime in most of the states where the NFL has teams. I am sure NFL legal is also concerned about an argument that LA cops are making pretextual traffic stops knowing the car is expensive and owned by a black athlete who plays for a team in the same division as the team from the city where the cops work. Do you have examples of exempt list for something where no identifiable person mistreated and no driving intoxicated? Last edited by jettio; 07-24-2021 at 09:23 PM.. |

Get out of here with that NFL divisional rival stuff. That is ludicrous. Getting a felony charge for an assault weapon and then getting another arrest for a similar if not worse type of gun to be in possession of in that state. |

Watson is reporting to camp and has yet to be placed on the exempt list.
If he doesn’t get placed on there, I don’t see any way Clark does. |

Clark will not be put on exempt list. He will not be disciplined under personal conduct policy until cases are resolved. Nobody called the police on him. Sherman actually made people fearful and the police were called and his case may not even be exempt list. He even is facing a dui involved single car accident and it probably is not an exempt list case. I was kidding about the idea that LA cops are Chargers fans, but I bet the NFL investigation will ask whether or not the traffic stops were pretextual. |

Hmm.
A stock Uzi weighs just over 7 lbs., and fires the ubiquitous 9mm Luger round, which exerts a measured 5.7 lbs. of recoil energy, or less than the weight of the firearm. It should exhibit almost no muzzle rise even when firing full auto. A MAC-10/11 however, due to its short length, high bore axis, etc. was well-known for muzzle rise. |
