FedEx asks Redskins to change name

Here we go. I think part of the reason we’ve been safe from this kind of stuff is because the Redskins have always been a bigger target. Now that there’s pressure from sponsors Snyder is going to feel the heat like never before.

If they go down, make no mistake, the mob will come for us next.

That's the approach I hope the Chiefs go with. Embrace and honor the culture - don't wipe out any allusions to it entirely. We'll see.

I have thought that too. They would have won if they had better weapons.

Just think if we lost to the Japanese or Germans?

Is Redheads gender-offensive? It applies to all seven gender categories, I think.

Redhots? Change the color to cinnamon.

Redistributionists would go over well with the liberal crowd, and it would reflect Haskins' interception rate.

Reductionists would work if you have no helmet logo.

Redliners - I actually kind of like that.

Redcoats - I don't think they held slaves, and it would reflect common sentiment towards Washington

Rednecks - Not sure if that's Washington's thing.

Redwoods - Wrong coast.

Redrums - I like that, but it might be insensitive.

Redo - Well, yeah. That's pretty much on spot.
Red Rockets - Does Chewbacca have a red rocket like dogs do or does he have a human-like penis? George Lucas isn't answering my emails.

Redlining is a racist lending practice. I doubt it could last an hour as the new name.

I get Snyder is butt hurt over this.
I get this period of change is going to cost a lot cash & headaches to get done.
But wouldn't you think long term they would recoup their losses 5 times over?

New logo/name

No. If you're a true American like me, you change your name that you've had for 6 decades because of just now butt hurt, you lose a fan.

I went to at least one game for 25 straight years, although not the last 3. If the Chiefs change their name, I won't buy merchandise or go to another game. Hell, I might not even watch them on TV anymore.

Ok "True American". You know how many "True Americans" will still watch football after name changes go through? Pretty much all of them, nominal losses for the NFL, especially coming off a COVID year that might shut down the 2020 season. If there's ever a time to do something like this, it's now when people are starved for good sports.
