If this works out big for Hollywood, it's a great selling point for future free agent WRs who don't like their market.

You only draft Worthy if you believe that a successful season from Brown means you let him walk.
If Brown's back after this season, Worthy is layered. I love speed but you can't have both of your speed guys be undersized. Now maybe Veach intends to do exactly that. But man, if Brown comes in here and clicks and provides the kind of spark opposite of Rice that we want - isn't he a guy you retain if at all possible? |

At virtually any position. If you draft an OT that allows you to move Wanya into G, you don't have to retain Smith and you free up a contract there. If you draft a DL to complement the rush with Karlaftis/Jones (or if FAU steps up) then you don't have to re-sign Omenihu. And it doesn't even have to be on the OL. We haven't extended Reid - what if it's a safety in the 3rd? Or Zach Frazier at C in the 2nd? Junior Colson at LB? If you pull 2 starters from this draft that can backfill for guys like Bolton, Smith, Reid and/or Creed - why WOULDN'T you bring Hollywood back if he's a fit? |

And then we all complain that we didn’t offer him 3 for 54 this season. |

I'd still take Worthy because he can play the gadget role this year, then take over for Brown after he gets paid elsewhere.
Offense would be absolutely unstoppable this season. |

Holy shit this is an amazing deal for us. He's betting on himself to set him up for a big contract. This is so huge..... paying him less than MVS. The same if he hits incentives

Hollywood knew he was a Chief last night when he was playing video games online watching Chiefs clips
He was just taking longer to work out what the incentives would be |

He was in demand as well.
The Chiefs may have just signed 1A to Ridley in terms of the best available free agent WR… at a fraction of the cost.
