On a bit of a tangent.....

Originally I was against attempting to sign Eric Berry to a long term contract (tagging him was great, I just wasn't sure that I'd want to continue paying top dollar for a safety). Anyway, with this last draft class in mind, I'm starting to think that having guys like Berry, DJ, Tamba, etc around has become significantly more important. This draft class needs to be introduced into how the Chiefs conduct themselves (on and off the field), and having role models such as those guys will no doubt assist in this process.

That said, it's not up to the veteran Chiefs to ensure that this class behaves in a civil manner. It's up to each of the draftees to do it. They've got to want to become better people and better football players. If they don't come to this realization in rather quick fashion, they will have totally ****ed up a wonderful, God-given opportunity, and they'll be toast (or probably worse).

Hey, I thought we were a genderless society and there is no difference between the sexes.....yeah right, that is bullshit and we all know it. The minute you are even accused of touching a woman, you are tainted. I was taught to not hit females and I agree with that line of thinking, no matter what agenda is out there to make us all the same. Sorry, can't change what the creator made into something else...BRUCE. But I digress.

I just get the feeling that if there was strong evidence that this dude really did what this woman said he did, he wouldn't have been offered a deal. I also get from reading up on this that he ran out of money to sustain his original "not guilty" plea and took the safe route, even though it would attach the word "guilty" to it and get him kicked off the team rather than risk going through a historically biased court system that was not set up to be fair to minorities (with a public defender, mind you...what a joke), particularly black males, especially when accused of doing something to a woman, a white woman at that. Let's keep it 100 on here.

Most of us wouldn't do what he is accused of doing but the reality is, we don't know 100% what happened and a lot of you on here may have done the same thing if you had limited $$$ to fight the charges. Why did the other school take him in if he was a monster?

All you have to do is grab a woman's arms to keep her from hitting you and you can be brought up on charges because her arms bruised. Be careful when talking from your high horse. Anybody can get caught up in some BS.

A female told me once that if her boyfriend pissed her off, she would bite her lip and call the cops on him. Be careful all of you holier than thou folks. Not saying that is what happened but just know that it is crazy out here.

Time will tell with Hill but even if he keeps clean, you won't like him anyway. Even if he goes on to being an ordained minister. In fact, hasn't it already been about two years since the actual incident?

The other school took him in for the same reason the Chiefs did: they care more about improving their football team than their humanity.

To the rest of your brain-dead screed, no one has ever suggested that there wasn't a physical difference between men and women, and anyone who has moved beyond the cave as a suitable shelter should understand that striking someone who is significantly smaller and weaker than you is the act of a Grade A shitbag.

Also, I would suggest seeking out a psychiatrist to help collate the five different voices that vomit from your head simultaneously.

Lotta headache? Doubt they care what message boards think... They answer a couple uncomfortable questions, then business as usual.

Clark Hunt is literally one regime removed from a message board making a national laughingstock of his franchise.

Don't think for one minute that they aren't concerned about what the chat boards, social media and radio fans are saying about the team.

And that doesn't even get into the fact that every single person that signed off on this pick will almost certainly be fired if he does have a DV incident. So they get that sword hanging over their heads.

And for what? If they really wanted a returner that badly, they should've snagged Trevor Davis right ahead of GB; Davis could've even contributed as a WR at some point.

This pick was ****ing stupid, it IS a headache and it was made due to the same arrogance that led to a wrongheaded draft to begin with. Dorsey's pretty sure he has all the answers right now so he just didn't think this one through adequately. He ****ed up.

If he has a DV incident, cut him and that is that. Nobody else has to lose their jobs. HE is the one that would be in trouble and blew his chance. That is strictly up to Tyreek. You would think we drafted Ike Turner and Lawrence Phillips all rolled into one.

Ok, here's a rumor I heard from a friend of a friend of a friend who has Chiefs connections (which of course makes it nothing more than an unsubstantiated rumor). However, it does have the ring of something that might actually be true. Here's the "story"....

Apparently, Hill and his girlfriend argued quite a bit in the past and in fact the police were called to the residence a few weeks before this incident. Anyway, the day of the incident, they again got into another argument. This time it related to the fact that she said she was leaving him and going to take the kid with her. Obviously he wanted to be around his kid, so he was upset. Anyway, the argument apparently escalated and then she dropped the bombshell on him: it wasn't his kid, and furthermore the father was a "buddy" of his who he had invited over on prior occasions to stay with them. I guess emotions got the better of Hill and this was when he headlocked/choked her and such.

Hmmmmmm....not sure what to make of this, and like I said, it's simply a rumor, but it does kinda makes sense with what Hill was saying about choosing better friends, and it does lend some credence to an unfortunate emotional over-reaction (to say the least). Nonetheless, to find out that it's not your kid, and then find out that it was your "buddy's" kid, well, that's gotta be a little hard to digest.

Additionally, the provider of this story also said that Hill's background had indicated that he was a good guy, well liked, no drugs, etc.

Whoa! Not suggesting that this "clears" the kid of wrong-doings, but if this was more or less what happened, it does provide a bit of ammunition for a......ummmmm....."abnormal" reaction? It also might provide a little background as to why Dorsey/Reid said they couldn't/wouldn't comment further as it is a bit of a messy story involving folks not associated with the Chiefs.

Anyway, make what you like of this rumor. Just thought I'd share what I heard today.
