As I said, I don't necessarily follow Keto directly, but I don't eat breakfast, have some coffee usually though.
Lunch I eat some form of protein, usually grilled chicken with some type of veggie. Or just some fruit, maybe some cottage cheese, an apple. I only have 30 mins for lunch and usually just see patients during that time anyway so I eat on the run. Dinner we usually have beef, pork, chicken or fish. We raise and have our own cattle, and pigs butchered so I'm pretty excited to be able to do the grass fed or whatnot. Paired with a salad or some asparagus or anything from the garden. I don't think it's keto but I eat a lot of sweet potatoes as well. I have quite the sweet tooth as well, which has been hard for me. I get a bag of dark chocolate chocolate chips and grab a handful after dinner. |

Really, when keto and/or low carb works, it works because it's a meme to eliminate highly palatable food that is too easy to overeat. They talk about "carbs" being addictive but are talking about things like potato/corn chips, pizza, donuts, cookies, candy and other highly palatable combinations of carb, fat, sugar and/or salt. These foods aren't addictive because of carbs but because those flavor combinations tickle the pleasure centers in our brains.
The thing is, is that you don't need to eliminate all carbs just to limit those things. There is no reason to eliminate a boiled potato because you tend to overeat potato chips (crisps, for the over-reacting Brit). Not to mention, using your high functioning brain instead of your lizard brain, it's possible to measure out a portion of chips and eat them without eating the whole bag. |

There's not one 'right' way - I think there are several methods that can be effective toward personal weight loss, even silock will tell you - do what works for YOU.

I'm not saying any of you are saying the contrary. Just a reminder.
