Who is the Chiefs first Defensive pick in the draft?

What position is needed most?

S, CB, LB, DT?

OL and WR later depending on FA of course

Prospects you like?

Step 1: Identify the group of corners you think would be impact players in your system.
Step 2: Identify the teams that are willing to move down in the draft and negotiate scenarios with them for fair compensation.
Step 3: As the draft plays out and that group gets down to 2-3 guys, start making calls to move up.

Easy to see why we’d like him. He does a lot of things you want for a CB in this system.
If we trade up I think it'll be for a CB and I think it'll be for this guy. I love Hughes and you're right, he seems to have the instincts like Peters has and a nose for the ball.

Hughes-Fuller-Nelson-Amerson

That's a much better group overall than we had last year.

From Daniel Jeremiah:

Quote:
7) Chiefs are a candidate to trade up for a CB: The Chiefs don't own a first-round pick in this year's draft (they dealt that pick away in the Patrick Mahomes trade last year), but I won't be surprised if they move up from where they're picking in the second round (No. 54 overall). They have a glaring need at cornerback and the top cover men will be long gone by the time they are on the clock if they stay put at No. 54. They need to get into the range of picks 35-40 in order to secure a Day One starter at that position, and many around the league expect them to make that happen.

I'd grudgingly be ok with that.

Although if they could get in the first round I'd be happier as you'd get the 5th round option.

I’d be a big fan of that move.

Says moving up at the beginning of rd 2 for him.

I’d be happy with that sand maybe moving up again from our first third to draft a corner.

Taven Bryan is a pretty raw guy, I would like it if we got him but I doubt he contributes at all in 2018, which is not ideal
