Doesn't really change the fact he was a big disappointment this year. Thankfully he stepped up at a key time but over the aggregate still no reason to be happy with his 2024 performance. He will still be a 2024 cut after we win the SB. We will thank him for his time here and move on to some better WR's.

It was a joke. Like you thinking Richie James would be our best WR this year.

The only difference is, you were being serious.

And you guys thought Kadarius Toney and Skyy Moore were going to be good. James is our 2nd best WR not named Rice. I also made that statement that it didn't inlude Rice because he could be the best WR by the end of the season and was a wildcard because he was a rookie.

Wrong again, naturally.

When I talked about our WRs coming into the season, I didn't even mention Toney, other than to say that he's completely unreliable and anything we might get from him during the season would be gravy. Didn't even talk about him. I had zero expectations from Toney and said exactly that.

No.

Absolutely not. It's not too much to ask that a guy be respectable in the regular season. Let's not pretend 9 catches for a year makes a worthwhile use of $11 million...

I don't keep track specifically about what you said, just the 90% consesnsus that this board was spouting before the year that Toney will develop into a #1 and Skyy Moore will take that leap to be a very good WR. There were a handful of us vehemently disputing any of this will occur and we were cast out like a leper. Also for weeks the same people were saying stop giving Toney and Skyy so many snaps, if any at all. Chiefs finally have taken this to heart and the team took off.

Yep. The timing of those two not suiting up and our offense finally looking like it should is certainly not a coincidence.

There was a WHOLE LOT of crapping on people who had reservations about Toney as a WR1 and Moore as WR2.
