So, what’s this Sneed trade gonna end up being?

Since we know this thing is coming down in the next few days.

What’s the predictions? Not what you want, but what you think the details end up being?

I don't see anyone better to spend the available cap on than Sneed, assuming we can work out a deal that fits.

If it's a 3rd + conditional and we can move up to 24'ish, that's great range for an OT or WR, or if we just keep our two 3rds is a strong round for a high end RB or quality WR.

Mostly offensive draft would be a lot of fun!

As could I. By the same token I could see Morgan falling to 32.

Am I going to give up Sneed to cover that small bit of risk in the middle? For a guy who may not be a long term LT anyway?

Nope.

What's the consensus opinion on Jordan Morgan as a LT?

In my mock draft simulators he seems to almost always be available.

If I'm losing Sneed for the flexibility/ammo to trade up, I'd prefer it to be Mims, or at least ****ing Guyton.

Guyton might be able to do it. Suamataia might be able to do it. Mims might be able to do it but man is he raw as ****. You have to worry about Morgan's length. Amegadjie is a large jump in competition and he's a bit raw too.

What I figure is Tennessee and New York are taking LTs at 7 and 10. New Orleans might take one at 14. Then you also have some wildcards in there like the Chargers and the Raiders that could take one of those guys and put them at RT instead and pass on the RTs.

It sucks. I don't think we can realistically get higher than 15. So I think 15 or 16 is your target area and you hope one guy makes it there but that's going to cost 1-32, 3-95, and a 2025 1st. If not, then do you want to move to 22/23 to get one of those maybes? Because I think you have to get in front of the gauntlet of DAL, GB, ARZ, and BAL. I don't know... I don't love it.

We must re-sign Donovan Smith then let the chips fall in the draft and move accordingly.
Just floating an idea here. What if you would include last years #1 FAU, and our 1st this year as starters for a conversation with the Bears about #9? FAU would be a cap hit, but the Bears would essentially get two first rounders for the #9 pick. One at a position of need in a DE. Then if the price wasn't too much more from there, we might be in postion to lock up Mahomes blindside for the rest of his career.

That would be great, but FAU isn't worth a 4th at this point. I think he will be decent, but he was inactive most of the 2nd half of the year.

I agree, they're pretty raw and it's rolling the dice but they look like they have significantly more upside to me. Not that I'm mad keen on many of these LTs.

Very possible. It was just an idea. He still has 4 cheap years of a rookie contract instead of 3. Just trying to think of ways to get to the top of the draft.

Yep, and I would probably do that trade in a heartbeat, just don't think it's realistic.

You shouldn’t expect that we are moving up anywhere past the early 20s.

I’m going in thinking we may not end up making a pick in the first round, at all.

Which gets me to where I am with the WRs.

There's no consensus for a reason. There's very little to actually suggest one is any better than the other. So why give up Sneed to trade up?

Your guy at 32 just isn't an appreciably worse prospect than your guy at 24 in all likelihood. And that's presuming you don't get iced out like we did in last years draft.

It's just WAY too speculative to justify moving Sneed for the mere possibility. You don't take an ass return on a great player for the privilege of MAYBE moving up for someone who is MAYBE a fractional percentage better than who you could've had at 32.

We may move up only if the Sneed deal gets done. If not, I could easily see us trading out of 32 to a team that wants a 5th year option on a player.
