Secondary has been a bigger issue. Most QBs have been getting the ball out their hands almost instantly against this defense.

Don’t burn those Gaines jerseys just yet fellas. Remember, it’s Thanksgiving, not Christmas!

Sounds like we got a very experienced on field player-coach for the secondary for cheap.

Win-win!

people bitching about the contract? WTF? we get him for free. He turns out to be 80%-90% of old Revis, that's worth $10 million? If it's not we are on the hook for zilch, nada, nothing. How can we restructure the contract to be better for us in any way? Welll one he would have signed anyway.

Can he teach Alex how to read cover 2 defenses?

Revis' biggest strength is his ability to jam at the line. Something our CBs never do. Will be interesting to see how they play him. Regardless of how it pans out, it's a good move. That side of the secondary is broke as ****, the only mistake the FO could have made was to do nothing.

Has to be better than Gaines.

What a perfect PR move to get the pressure off of the Alex/Pat debates currently going on.

A) It's not your $'s or my $'s so who cares how much we pay him
B) He can't do any worse than what we have
C) He most likely will do better than what we have
D) Veteran leadership sorely needed in the secondary
E) At least they are trying something

Yep, I dont think there is a single negative consequence to this signing. Worst case scenario he is a lateral move from a shitty corner and we cut bait at the end of the season.

Best case scenario he plays at an all pro level and lifts this defense to somewhere in the respectable category.

I fully expect it to be in between those two extremes somewhere. He will be an upgrade for sure i think. I mean, how could he possibly be any worse than gaines/acker?
