Don't you people read anything other that what's posted on Chiefsplanet?
I knew the deal already, I was talking big $$ from the Chiefs not the Jets.

Guarantee you Bellichek throws down the "good cub scout" routine to any FA All Pro Vets who want to be a Patriot. He wants to know your real motivation and love for the game and winning before he will sign anybody. It is very simple. What is your motivation ?

Is it more for the $$ or is it more for the Lombardi ?

Obviously you have a real hard time seeing the big picture which does not surprise me at all. Veach is going all in for this year with a Low Risk/High Reward signing Revis. No way Veach pays a past prime formerly broken CB 10 mil next year even IF he plays really well these last 6 games. If Veach decides that Revis's play is worthy for next year then Veach will want to renegotiate or be cut before March. It's about 'this year'.

I find it very hard to believe that ANYONE has a read on what Veach may or may not do, much less WHY.

There's no track record, nothing to go on.

All in for the sake of this signing that looks desperate and why I am not optimistic. Depends on your definition of "all in". I am not talking $$ here and neither is Veach.

Like I said, no way Veach pays Revis 10 mil next yr even IF the play is there. Veach will be attempting to clean up as much as he can cap wise and ain't no way he is paying a "past his prime formerly broken CB" (who held out btw until now) 10 mil. It works against cleaning up the cap.

Well, typically "All-in" means making a significant investment to gain immediate results.

This move is neither. I don't know what your definition is, but it's wrong.

I get what you are saying and agree in most other circumstances, but it is the 'appearance of desperation' with this type of signing that Veach is 'all in' on trying to fix the problem which is good because we definitely do have a 2ndary problem.
The 'all in' for me is he is willing to risk the appearance of desperation with this type of signing.

The phrases "Going all in" and "Desperation" are polar opposites in regards to sports

Revis will get every opportunity to prove he is back. Why anyone is against this when its so easy to get out of it is beyond me. I always like Revis and hope he can gain most his old form back. I wont be surprised to see a lot of him Sunday.
