How about that run D baby

We've been quite good against the run this year. Did not see that coming. Could be totally wrong, but we've typically been stronger against the pass.

I was nervous about our interior DL, but Wharton is having a ****ing great season. Pennel helps a lot. And... maybe Nnadi too? Haven't really been paying attention to him.

No, I don't care how many OL the Chargers were down today. Harbaugh and Roman are determined to run the ball, and we shut that shit COMPLETELY the **** down.

Very impressive.

I agree. Very impressive. The Chargers committed to the run. 21 attempts today not counting Herbert. 55 yards. That's not even 3 yards per carry. That's shutting down the run!

Wharton looks strong and Felix made some plays

How Pennel is a journeyman who’s available every season needs its own 30 For 30

I'm mystified about how we've ended up with Pennel. He's an anti-run powerhouse.

Wharton really leveled up this year. He's really become a force.

Every year people says he's done, and every year he goes out there and stones running backs all day every day.

I liked it when McDuffie crashed down the line on a blitz he wasn't fooled and got the back in the backfield.

Pennell and Wharton have been monsters inside.

With charles coming back we're only gonna get better. Which is insane.

I still think we miss Gay but as good as Sneed was it doesn't appear his departure is gonna make as big a mark as we thought. But yeah, the front 7 has been nails.

Here are the rushing totals for the lead back in each of our games this year. Pretty impressive work. Note that Lamar Jackson did gash us on the ground, but he does that to pretty much everybody.

Derrick Henry 13/46
Zach Moss 12/34
Bijan Robinson 16/31
J.K. Dobbins 14/32

Total 55/143
