Correct, but he also means that Andy had a chance to 'save' Dorsey and he didn't. I'm not sure why so many people around here keep denying that Reid had at least some part in Dorsey being fired. Hunt is not the kind of owner who fires a GM without consulting people about it. Jerry Jones would do that but not Hunt. Andy Reid was ok, if not happy, about Dorsey getting fired.

Not to mention, the only QB that Belichick has coached to a postseason berth, other than Tom Brady, is Vinne Testeverde, way back in 1994.

Belichick is most certainly an excellent HOF coach but it sure doesn't hurt to have Tom Brady as your QB.

Mind you though that talented roster Chin made has had some roster turnover even though Rapist is at QB he is a shell of himself as beat up as he has been.

He has kept the Steelers relevant.

But I'm not arguing just throwing darts that it is hard to find 5 better coaches than Andy Reid however Andy Reid is flustrating on game day.

Tom Brady is not the same QB today that he was when he first started.

He has evolved from a conservative game manager, and credit for that evolution has to be given to Belichik and his staff.

Brady is one of the greatest ever, in large part, because of Belichik, while Belichik is the greatest ever, in some part, because of Brady.

I think it's a symbiotic relationship. Brady obviously decided that he wanted to be great, so he's gone to extreme measures to make it happen.

What will be interesting to watch is Belichick post Brady.

Bill Walsh went back to Stanford and had zero success. George Siefert had the benefit of Joe Montana and Steve Young but in Carolina, had zero success.

Forrest Gregg had Ken Anderson in Cincy, then did nothing in Green Bay. Same for Sam Wyche in Cincy (Boomer), then nothing in Tampa.

There's a pretty long list of coaches that won or participated in Super Bowls with HOF QB's, then had little success without one.

I suspect that Belichick won't put himself in that position but time will tell.

Well that is also on coaching because that should have been instilled in Alex Smith to make those shots when it matters in big games. He did not and that is Andy Reid hand picked quarterback. Now I'm more excited and hopeful that Mahomes II will indeed execute when it is his time to shine with Andy Reid.

Alex Smith hit his ceiling in 2015 and has descended from there.

Everyone is cheering for Mahomes to work out, but Reid has signed, drafted, and traded for numerous quarterbacks since choosing the one his reputation as a QB guru is built on... in 1999.

Because if you can't then you are simply talking out of your ass.

I am not an Andy Reid fan, and wasn't happy when he was hired because of his flaws.
I would rather have taken a chance with an unknown.

But the fact is, almost every coach has their flaws that cost them at time, and some have QBs that mask their deficiencies.

Andy Reid with Aaron Rodgers would be considered a genius.
