Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope.
I hate to break this to you, but it’s 2019 and offense has all the advantages in this new league.

Every defense except maybe Baltimore is bend don’t break.

Everyone had to know he was going to be high on the list...

I mean the only upside I can say is his most recent stint in NY he did pretty well with marginal talent.

I don't know if you know this or not, but Spagnuolo spent quite a bit of time with the Giants and they may know a thing or two about hks tendencies.

Kind of why I wanted Macdonald if Richard was off the table, but apparently that isn't safe enough.

Kinda funny to see the flip on bend but don't break, all defenses play that way now. Even the great Belichick, it's what the league is.

Number of blitzes is an overrated metric and largely irrelevant.

I mean if Sutton would've sent Hitchens on a blitz 50% of the time we'd have managed to somehow give up even more points and still be hot dogshit even with an 'aggressive' blitz figure.

The raw number of blitzes he sends doesn't mean a hell of a lot unless it demonstrates that he is WELL outside of league norms. He's not; he's within a standard deviation of average. At that point the question is how he's sending pressure, when and to what effect.

{looks at the performance of his defenses over the last decade}

{sighs}

You guys all just pick the guy you personally like in any scenario and then flip the **** out when they hire/draft/sign someone else.

This will be a solid hire. Mark my words. they'll be middle to upper third next year defensively.
