*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

With that said, it is great to see the Chiefs draft a QB who is a 180 degree shift from Bubble Screen Alex Smith.

Gunslinger?

Air it out downfield early and often?

YES please.
Tyreek better eat his Wheaties and stretch his hammys good before each game.....Going to be fun to see if Mahomes can out throw him...

On tape, Mahomes’ strengths are his cannon arm and velocity with an ability to make plays amid chaos. Mahomes’ weaknesses are shoddy footwork and a tendency to veer from structure as a natural-born gunslinger who lacks discipline but plays with extreme aggressiveness. A 4.0 college student, Mahomes’ smarts and skill set are in no doubt. He is a classic boom-bust prospect with a top-five NFL quarterback ceiling.

Remember...

Dorsey and Reid were both there in GB when Favre was there. Mahomes is getting compared too Favre\Rodgers so, i know they did their homework on Mahomes. He will sit for a year and learn the offense. Ladies and Gents, we finally drafted a QB in RD 1 in my lifetime and i cant wait for the future.

They didn't give up a 3rd, but they did give up a better 1st rounder for a worse 1st rounder.

They panicked when we stole their chosen one.

Favre/Rodgers comparisons from the beginning. This was destiny.

First time since 2010 with Berry where CP is universally happy over a Chiefs draft pick. Some others like Poe and Peters were good picks but not everybody on board.
