*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

I think Mahomes is going to revive that. No 10-year old wants to do all the boring shit Tom Brady does to be successful, but you can bet your ass they're going to watch Mahomes highlights and attempt all his crazy ass-backwards throws when they're out playing football with friends.

Eh, GB fans will point to the cliché Favre and now Rodgers. I love some PMII hype but let's not go overboard.

Cam Newton is in that category too.

“The Big 12 doesn’t produce QB’s!”

Neither did Tedford at Cal, but here’s Aaron Rodgers. Big Ben went to a small ass school in Ohio.

One of the best QB’s in the goddamn league went to school at North Dakota State in Fargo.

I think if Mahomes is capable of achieving what I think he's capable of doing, we're going to see a new generation of college and pro QBs in about 10-15 years who are much more about making impossible plays and throws at the expense of fundamental technique.
This is what I've been saying since that Denver game.

He's going to be the Steph Curry of the NFL.

HS football coaches are going to be so frustrated with their young QBs shitting on the rules how to play QB.

I fully expect Mahomes to throw A TON of interceptions. But we'll be much better on 3rd down and in the Red Zone. So it will probably be a wash. I expect overall we'll be about the same as last year.

Prediction 29 TD, 19 INT. 88 rating.

I think he probably throws 15 INTs. But I could see 6 of those coming in two separate games, or maybe he has one of those mega dud 4+ INT games.

I guess what I’m saying is I don’t think he’ll be throwing one every week or anything like that.

Disagree

Alex Smith made many mistakes last year. Look at the Giants, Steelers, and Titans games. Didn't throw many interceptions, but Alex made a TON of mistakes

When a KC defense can put up worse numbers than this in a playoff game, then, and only the, will I admit that the Chiefs have a worse defense than Vermiels's.

No punts. The turnover on downs could have been a field goal but was actually a conservative play to run out the clock... So there was one stop for a field goal and one other stop when they were conservatively running out the clock with safe running plays.

Pat said he could throw the ball 85 yards on GMFB

If that ever happens in a game...

Tons of mistakes and still had his moments where he played like a pussy with a herpes outbreak!!! So frustrating! And ironically, his sexuals infested CP like herpes! He was just like his fans!!! HERPES!!!

It will be nice to not have a herpes-infested vagina slinging the ball for us this year!!!
