Man it would be amazing for him to take even a little discount. Of course it won't happen and I don't blame him one bit. Whatever they pay Mahomes, he's worth more. They just better start drafting OL constantly cause I don't want inability to pay for pass pro to be an issue.

The only chance Pat will have to match Brady with championships is by taking discounts. Even still, it’ll be obviously extremely hard. But if he takes market value, there’s no way he wins more than a few rings I’d say.

I don’t blame him at all either way but being the competitor that he is, it wouldn’t shock me.

He'll make a little more than the next highest paid QB - which will be a GIGANTIC discount over what he's actually worth.

Can we just give him a contract now that says he makes 10% more than the next highest paid QB for the next 10 years?

...look, each of the plays they mentioned, I remember, and I remember thinking "Whew...got lucky there...". It happens, and it doesn't bother me. Anyone who would rather have Brady over Mahomes is just not watching the game. Doesn't bother me. These guys are like bean counters, not football fans. Their rankings, good or bad, don't really mean that much.

What’s laughable about PFF is they don’t account for the strength of the defense. ESPN’s QBR stat also fails in the same manner. Brady and Dak have both faced extremely weak defenses so far. Mahomes torched the Jaguars (who shut down Deshaun Watson) and the Ravens (one of the better NFL defenses every year).
