I think part of the reason for that is because Italy has one of the most eldered populations in the world.

This virus tends to feast off eldered people with weakened or impaired immune systems and/or people that suffer from several comorbidities.

But in no way do I believe Italy has more deaths than China. It wouldn't surprise me if Chinas death toll is in the millions.

Not trying to win a bet or anything with this — would like to see if this is tracking higher or lower than the overall averages and if we’re seeing a higher or lower death rate based on the data to date. Hopefully, it’s much lower.
We ended up at 222 deaths today.

Applying the slight revision upward I'd guess somewhere between 341 and 350 tomorrow.

I don't agree with you at all. They may end up being anomalies, but we don't have nearly enough information to make that assumption

There are several reasons for Italy:

Age
Several of the dead were at risk
Several of the dead were going to die in the next few months regardless

And I agree, China's numbers are suspect.

Well then let's just say they are looking to be if they aren't.

Do you think China might be an anomaly as well?

Who the **** knows with China. If you take their numbers at face value then the answer is no.

I shredded up an old foam matress the other day. Shoved the shavings into a pillowcase and look at that, I got my own homemade myPillow.
