Seriously.

Now that the draft is over, I’d cut Sorensen tomorrow and use the money to sign Reid as long as he wouldn’t be a distraction.

I'm not saying he's bad but I watched Miss St highlights and he looked awful in that game.

Hopefully he just had a flat day.

I think Veach was full of shit when he talked about the reason for moving up to get him.

There were several highly touted edge rushers on the board at the time that pick was made, including:

Sam Hubbard, Ohio State
Rasheem Green, USC
Tyquan Lewis, Ohio State
Lorenzo Carter, Georgia
Kemoko Turay, Rutgers
Josh Sweat, Florida State
Arden Key, LSU

So I think this move was a lot less about the "talent pocket," because he's a ****ing liar by saying it didn't exist after Speaks, and alot more about him preferring Speaks and being worried that the Chargers were going to take him. In the end, the Chargers took a much different type of edge player in Nwosu.

I'm fine with the pick. In fact, I really like the pick. I just don't like the excuses for the move up.
Is it possible that they see him in an entirely different class than those guys?

Seems premature. Maybe they think it's time to move on from Houston?

Calling Beach a liar because you don''t agree with his reasoning is pretty arrogant on your part.

Yep.. I don't see how he makes the roster... with O'Daniel, Eligwe, and others that can contribute to special teams more.

That’s kccrow for you.

He swears the only reason he isn’t an NFL scout/personnel guy is because he chose not to be.

Sweat has some medical issues and a lot of those guys aren't capable of playing inside.

You can really tell that this kid is not fast coming around the edge. His 3 cone time of 7.6 proves what you see on the field.

He may be similar in size and straight line speed, but Tamba has a 7.2 3 cone and you can clearly see that in his tape.

Looks like they are primarily using this kid inside on rush downs. That’s good bc I think that needs to be his primary role.

While you’re probably right, I will add that watching Speaks do his 3 cone, his shorts were falling off and he was trying to pull them up while running. I’d imagine that slowed him down a bit.

I saw that, but he still looks slow around the edge. I get that Veach wants more power guys like Tamba/Houston compared to Ford, but Houston/Tamba were fast and slippery around the corner.

I didn’t see that from Speaks. I feel like they need to just line him up over G’s where he can succeed.
