The Derrick Thomas safety game vs. SF was probably the second most fun live game (after the Vanover punt return vs. SD game)

And actually that one was fun the whole game, not just the last few minutes.

I was at the playoff win vs. the Raiders too - which was just painful and inept on both sides.

Was that the 44-9 (or something along those lines) game in 1997?

SF was considered pretty much unstoppable coming in to that game.

Damn Holthus has been around a LONG time.

Ah yes, that's right. Steve Young was their QB and we roughed him up bad.

That safety turned the game around. Everyone in the crowd was anticipating it too.

The 49'ers are near the bottom of the league defensively. (Yeah, only 2 games in).

I would expect them to try to establish the run to keep the ball out of St. Patrick's hands. I think the Chiefs will do just fine against Breida, and proceed to go off on them.

After getting a multiple score lead, both teams throw the ball all over the field.

49'ers 31

Crowd noise should be at max level after the 1st two road victories & the sudden success of our new franchise qb. Hope it helps the defense. I'm guessing at least 3 false starts from the 49ers.

If we get out to too much of a lead, I hope Andy lets Mahomes keep ballin'. I hate the three runs in a row just to burn clock. Let him get those reps and keep lighting up the NFL.

Game on Fox, not CBS. Thom Brennaman & Chris Spielman calling game. No Fouts, which should put lead in someone's pencil.

Jimmy has taken a bunch of sacks already. If Houston can't break out this game, he never will.

Agreed... the defense will feed off the crowd, and we'll likely get a fairly called game at home against these ham and eggers

Just dont come out flat, and this should be a romp

Let's just hope he is NOT covering Garrett Celek on every pass play.
