Seems to me like the only way Alabama could harm their title chances would be if there was a QB controversy, and now Saban is going to play both of them equally when Hurts is probably the worst starting QB in the conference.

They are hampered when Hurts is on the field. It sucks for him that he never really improved as a passer, but Tua is the better overall QB. Maybe they start out like this, but the plan is to be fully transitioned over to Tua by the end of the regular season?

I wonder if Saban told Hurts he would get PT just to make sure he didn’t transfer. Having a QB on your bench who has played in 2 National Title games and only lost like 2 or 3 games as a starter isn’t a bad insurance policy if your starter gets hurt.

It doesn't really matter. Hurts is the reason why they haven't won two straight national titles, and if he had stayed in both games, they wouldn't have won either. He's a running back. That's all he's ever been. They can throw any moron behind center (as they did the previous two years) and out athlete almost every team they play.

Finally? I believe Ferentz has a losing record to Iowa State. Or maybe it’s even now?

Looking forward to this Auburn/Dub game. Curious to see if this team is what a lot of folks are saying they are. Playoff bound.
