There is only one solution for this, a passrush. Too bad Chiefs don’t have that.

Also answers the question of why he came at such a cheap price. I guess you get what you pay for.

Yeah, in most years we've managed to pull it off. Like the year we had gaines as our #2 guy. Or when we pulled magic out of Terrence Mitchell. But last year was different. With the leagues overemphasizing illegal contact, we can't afford to do that anymore. In fairness, we didn't realize it would burn us until a few games into the season. Maybe we just needed an offseason to plan around it.

I don't mind Sutton if the rules were more relaxed. Other defenses adjusted by taking a Sutton like zone scheme and mixing in a ton of aggressive blitzing. Reid seems to recognize that need to adapt. But asking Sutton to do that feels like asking Alex to be aggressive. I hope I'm wrong on that. But I don't think we're pulling a rabbit out of our hat this time.

The negotiations went like this.

Veach: I don't know if we can find the money to pay your client.

Agent: let me show you this preseason video of Amerson.

Veach: here's a contract. Just fill in a number.

Breelands infected cut on his foot should have been healed by now.

Scandrick was one of the best players on some truly horrific Cowboys defenses.

Whatever that means??
