Who's been to/lived in Maine?

Mrs. SNR and I are planning a summer trip in about mid-July, and one state for some reason that we've always had our sights set on visiting is Maine. It seems like the quaint state covered in trees and people with funny-sounding accents. I had a friend in college from Brunswick (where Bowdoin College is), and all he could talk about were the amazing beaches and parks in the southern part of the state. We'll definitely explore that area, but if we wanted to go to a beach, we'd go somewhere tropical.

Any other hot spots or knowledge of the state with only one border? We're willing to do a variety of things (historical monuments, parks, trails, what have you).

Unnecessary, General patteeu.

My plan includes taking all their toll roads in one, brilliant, surprise scissor-cut through the heart of Maine. Using a rear-guard action, we will confiscate all their toll booths and use them to make boats for future engagements.

I bet we could win the locals over by offering them food that's not lobster rolls. They'd view us as liberators.

Thank you for volunteering, Private Donger.

We'll need you to change into a Maine uniform, infiltrate beyond their front line, and spread counter-intelligence regarding the health benefits of lobster rolls. We thank you for your service.

Great point, but she has never in her life driven a motorcycle.

I don't...

In July 2017, Down East Magazine held their inaugural "World’s Best Lobster Roll" competition, selecting Freshies Lobster in Park City, Utah as its winner. The magazine used 100 Maine VIP's to select the winner based upon the entrant's story, the recipe, success of their lobster roll, and three judges who made the final decision

Maine's evil influence seems to be spreading.

I was hoping to keep this secret, but it's time to execute Plan Weaponized Whoopie Pie.

I don't think RainMan was so lucky.

Glad you liked it. I've never been to it in the fall. Was there in May 2015.

They are. There's a place near my office that sells them. If you don't mind paying $20 for a lunch sandwich, they're quite tasty.

I'm sure they'd be even tastier at one of the places on a Maine dock pulled from a lobster that still had that OH SHIT! look on its face.

That look like a ton of bun to lobster ratio, but I live in a place that rejoices in squeezing a pickle spear, 2 peppers, a quartered onion, neon relish, and a half a ****ing tomato into a hotdog for some reason. Seriously, those 2 end bits look all bun.
