Whether we admit it or not I think people like to feel a little special on their birthday. I had a job that I had worked at for years. They would have potluck dinner or employee bdays. The day went just like any other. Right before quitting time I said something about having steak for dinner. They asked why.....it was my 40th and nobody said a word. kind of made me feel down about the people I worked with.

Anyway, I thought I would add a little extra flair for CP bdays. We're a family of football loving nutjobs.

So, if nobody else tells you happy birthday then at least I did damn it.

That's kind of why I started doing it as well. You never know who out there might not have someone to wish them Happy Birthday. Does it mean much coming from a stranger on www.chiefsplanet.com? I don't know. But I'd like to think it does.

My wife’s birthday is today. She’s not famous but she did get a shout out by name on a Styx CD jacket so she’ll always have that going for her.

I think it does for most people. Personally, I DGAF about my birthday but I am an outlier.
