Enough with the backups bullshit. If the offense AND defense both consist of backups, it makes no difference. It's all relative at that point.

It sounds to me like Pat had one of his best days today, in the rain. Smith not so much.

I'm not saying he should start, but he wants it. Bad. He's coming after Smith's job mentally, not Bray's.
The only thing keeping Alex ahead of Mahomes is experience. The kid is on fire.

"Escobar could figure prominently in the Chiefs’ plans this year...." http://www.espn.com/blog/kansas-city...hiefs-practice

Adding to Escobar looking awesome, Harris has not been dropping as many passes and Ross has been making plays as well.

Sounds like with have a legit TE set this year

De'Vante Bausby with great coverage down the field on Robinson. He intercepts the Smith pass near end zone.

Bausby is in his second year and is a backup

You forget that defensive depth is far more difficult to achieve than with the offense. That's why the first round in the draft is always a run on top defensive prospects and high quality offensive players are found all over the board.

Dane and I have been talking up Escobar. His soft hands could be valuable in the red zone

You don't get to make up excuses for Alex and then say shit about Mahomes.

A backup is a backup and Alex Smith threw an interception to a backup cb.

The talent of Escobar is the only thing Dane has been right about so far going into camp.

Wrong on Spiller, DJ and PH's learning curve to this point.
