As a Chiefs fan, I literally jumped off my couch with a similtaneous fist bump when we drafted Worthy. Ive wanted him in the first round since February.

Can you imagine being a Bills fan, who also had your heart set on Worhty, only to see them trade that pick away to your arch rival who has broken your heart over and over and over, and proceed to draft that player. I cant imagine.

Even if it "helps" you, you do NOT trade with your arch rival and big btother. Ever. Period.

Similar happened to us in the second round a couple of years ago when we had our choice of wide receivers including Pickens, who many of us wanted. Chiefs traded back and we ended up with Skyy Moore. That was a disaster. I think that made a believer out of Veach. I don't think that he will ever trade back again. Lol

At least Buffalo got a proven big body guy who played very well at the highest level of college football. Skyy Moore was an undersized player from a small conference, and sure enough he has really struggled to perform at the NFL level. I’m still hoping the light bulb will magically turn on for Skyy in Year 3.

Also, one more point, there is a huge thread on the Bills forum discussing if Worthy would have been there at pick 32 or not...

You think Sean Peyton regrets not being a bit more aggressive in the 2017 draft for Mahomes?

If Veach has a player pegged as a PERFECT fit, be as aggressive as possible! Dont take any chances! Buffalo clearly wanted a receiver with their pick...entirely possible they had a cluster of 3-4 receivers they had similar grades on (Worthy, Legette, Coleman, etc...) and felt 100% certain theyd get one by moving back several picks. Who is to say if push comes to shove and they didnt have a trade partner they didnt have Worthy at the top of that cluster? Dallas had been linked to Worthy. The entire league knows Aiyuk is on his way out and the 49ers needed a receiver. You dont think Kyle freaking Shanahan could have drawn up some plays for 4.21 speed? Bottom line, the price to pay for ensuring you get your guy was NOTHING.

I trust Veach had some pretty solid intel indicating Worthy would have been gone by pick 32.
