Coaching Was Bad Today...

I didn't understand the entire 2nd half until the last drive. 2nd and 20 a couple of times and you run plays that you know if you don't get at least 7-8 yards you have no chance on 3rd down.

Then Hunt busts one from out 10ish out to the 30ish and he never sees the ball again that drive.

Smith probably made his 2 worst passes of the season in the half and the one to Reek down the sideline needed to be better but I am not going to ding him on that one. His line was 155 with 2 TD's and I will take that if we get a W.

On the other side of the ball, Sutton continues to not bring much pressure on 3rd and long until it seems like late in the game. Rivers was given way to many chances because of our coaching on both sides of the ball.

We have a stud RB and a WR that can flat out burn any coverage on him. Our coaches need to remember that. Sutton needs to remember that 5 blockers on 3-4 rushers usually=QB has all day to throw

Our 3rd down percentage on offense and defense were both horrible.

This + the OL had struggles too. That was 2016 Alex today. Start hot, then go into shell for the rest of game.

That CAN'T continue. It just can't. I've got 15 reasons why...

Great coaches have bad days.

Still won, and it wasn't smoke and mirrors like last year.

They play like that on any given Sunday, 80% of the teams in the NFL playing at home will smoke us.We were lucky to get the win. Also to have drafted Hunt.

This

Your not going to win every game by 4 TDs. Sometimes shit just happens. Especially against a divisional opponent that knows your team pretty well.

At no point today did I feel like we wouldn't win. That's how confident I am in this team and staff

Exhibit A as to why Andy will never win a Super Bowl with a game manager QB.

Good thing it was just the chargers, as anemic as the offense was.

I agree.

....and the Bolts aren't pushovers.

...bottom line they turned the the TO's into points.

That's what good teams do.

Penalties are what needs fixing. Otherwise, playing at a very high level IMO

We saw this often last year, it seems, with the offense having a decent first half and then generating little or nothing in the second half.
