After seeing E1 at the screening, I was worried people were going to think it was a little slow and plodding at the beginning. I enjoy a good character drama, so it's fine with me, but I can understand the criticism.

I think it will pick up steam a bit in E3.

Subtitles, as said above, are the way to everything.

I've seen enough in the first two episodes to keep me intrigued, at the very least. Feeling a lot better about this than I was early in S2, problems started emerging there from the onset.

I'll admit to having a hard time maintaining focus on this through two episodes. Honestly felt like a slog.

I’ve got to say that I’m a fanboy of this season since I know every location well and know a writer who starts in in episode 5.

That being said: its moving sloooooow. I hope we get some fireworks next week.

NWA weirds me out. It's always seemed 'different' for reasons I can't really explain.

McDonald County in MO is kind of the same way but there's something that just seems to change the further along 71 you go toward Fayetteville.

Not saying I've had any bad experiences in y'all's neck of the woods but it's always been there for me.

That bag didn't look like weapons when he picked it up but my first thought was that it was guns and ammo.

I didn't get into the first two seasons, but I really like this one. The flashbacks in three different eras make it intriguing. It took about 1/2 the first episode to get to like the black detective. I just found out he's the actor in The Green Book, which I haven't seen but heard it's good. My wife and I always watch ID channel, so this is right up my alley.

My only experience with Arkansas was about 1976, my first wife was from Tulsa and we were driving on I-40 going from Savannah, Georgia to Tulsa. I didn't want to get gas in Memphis because it was busy and it was late at night, so I kept going. As I got further west there wasn't many, or any options for gas. Finally at Ft. Smith I pulled off the interstate and ended up right in a downtown area. The only place with lights on was the police station. There was one cop by himself sitting behind a desk, I said I need gas bad. He said, federal law requires gas to be available every so often on the interstates. He said, how much do you want, and I said $10. He asked for the money and gave me a key. He said go across the street and unlock the pump and get your gas and lock it back and bring back the key. That's my biggest memory of Arkansas. I did like Tulsa a lot.

I definitely felt the tension and action rising throughout this episode. It’s like they had to get us good and settled in the world and get our heads wrapped around the timelines before taking off. I also can’t wait for season to conclude so I can go back and binge. I think it will be better binged instead of serialized.

My buddy took over writing duties from Milch, who had to go work on the deadwood project, in episode 5, so I’m ready for next week.
